Love means never having to say you’re sorry. And in our case, it also means not going without the camel coat Ali MacGraw wore in the timeless classic Love Story. We’ve made the decision not to do without, and as our Potatohead friends, we think you shouldn’t either. Here are our five favorite versions of the classic piece.

Missing the classic wrap period. No hood. No modern oversized patch pockets to add width at the hips. Aren’t there any out there?
Why aren’t wool coats actually WARM anymore? The vast majority seem to be made of loosely woven, lightweight fabric that barely stands up to a light breeze at 55 degrees. I resorted to vintage to get a really heavy, dense WARM wool coat. Now if I can only figure out how to get the pervasive old lady perfume smell (which survived specialty dry cleaning fully intact) to go away….suggestions welcome!
Ali MacGraw had always had a sense of style. Very unique.
