10 Low Sugar Red Wines

We’re big fans of balance here at The New Potato, and that extends to how we imbibe. With endless holiday parties approaching, we’re all for having more than a single glass of red wine on a weeknight, but aren’t so in favor of the ensuing hangover, or the extra calories.

As we’ve learned, the drier the wine, the less sugar, and therefore the healthier the vino. Red wines tend to be drier than their white and rose counterparts, but many still have a surprising sugar content. Scroll above for our favorite low sugar red wines; all the antioxidants and punch of your go-to reds, minus the sugar crash. Who says we can’t make a healthy choice even when we’re indulging?
