Our favorite thing about fall is that it becomes socially acceptable to spend even more time eating and drinking indoors. We’re embracing all things warm and comforting: darker cocktails, chunky sweaters, spicy citrus perfumes. The colder weather makes us want to set up residence at an upstate lodge watching the leaves change in front of a roaring fire with red wine.
Given that our apartment has a view of another building and the heat hasn’t kicked in yet, we’ll take a cozy ambiance anywhere we can get it. We rounded up the thirty coziest restaurants in New York – because we might not have a fireplace, but they certainly do. Bookmark our list for days when you and your friends text one another saying, “let’s do dinner somewhere cozy!” We guarantee these are almost like a weekend in Berkshires….
Actually taking a weekend away? Lucky you, consult our guide to weekender bags and know what to pack from your medicine cabinet.
