Rosé gummy bears are selling for exorbitant prices right now, but did you know that it took less than 10 minutes to make your own batch at home? Plus, these rosé gummy bears are free of refined sugar and artificial nasties – and they’re packed with protein and super gut soothing, thanks to the grass-fed gelatin. The rose flavor kicks up that of the rosé, and adds a beautiful, calming and sophisticated scent.
1 cup rosé of choice
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rose water (available online, at Middle Eastern markets and high end liquor stores)
2 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin (available at Whole Foods and online)
In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat rosé, honey and rose until very warm, but not boiling. Whisking constantly, sprinkle in gelatin a little at a time, continuing to whisk until all gelatin is incorporated and mixture is very smooth (spoon out and discard any stray chunks). Pour into gummy bear molds (available online), mini muffin tins, or a Pyrex (you can cut out bite-sized pieces later), then pop into the fridge to let harden for 3 – 4 hours. Makes about 100 gummy bears. Store in fridge for 3 – 4 days.
