Did you know that chronic inflammation caused by the foods you eat can make you significantly more likely to develop cancers and cardiovascular diseases? Inflammation and heart health go hand in hand; when one goes up, the other goes down. The foods you’re eating on a daily basis, even if you think they qualify as health foods, can be building up acid in your system, causing inflammation that can manifest in arthritis, acne, fatigue, bloating and weight gain, not to mention, lead to much more serious ailments.
While it’s nearly impossible for someone who is busy and might sometimes wind down with a cocktail on the weekend to avoid inflammatory foods entirely, you can at least balance out those occasional indulgences with foods that fight inflammation and neutralize the acid you’re consuming.
