Food in bowls is all the rage right now, but smoothie bowls trigger a special kind of enthusiasm. They’re perfect proof that a healthy breakfast doesn’t have to be a boring one, and we can’t get enough. These bowls are colorful and creative, and loaded with healthy protein and antioxidant-rich ingredients. They keep us full well before the lunch bell dings and they bring out our inner kid, because they’re ridiculously fun to assemble. Green Smoothie Bowl

Yield: 2-servings

Active Time: 5-minutes

Ingredients:

½ ripe avocado

2 medium ripe bananas, fresh or frozen

1 cup frozen strawberries

2 large handfuls spinach

1 small handful kale, large stems removed

1 ½ to 2 cups unsweetened hemp milk or coconut water

1 tablespoon hemp seeds

Toppings:

Blackberries

Blueberries

Goji berries

Sunflower seeds

Flax seeds

Sesame seeds

Place all ingredients for the smoothie in a blender and blend until smooth. Divide smoothie between two bowls and decorate with desired toppings.
