How To Use Avocado Oil On Hair

Avocados more than pull their weight. They’re delicious and nutritious to eat; you can eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you use them to make Guacamole…we rest our case. Avocados have also provided basic (and not basic) bitches everywhere with the #1 thing to Instagram: Avocado toast.

And then, lo and behold, we discovered avocado oil. You can use this to cook but it’s actually a complete miracle worker if you put it on your skin and in your hair. Seriously, it’s the new coconut oil. Already the Brangelina of the food industry, avocado is now taking the beauty industry by storm…see below for ten ways to use it on hair…

1. Shampoo: Create your own hydrating shampoo by combining distilled water, castile soap, avocado oil, and all-natural glycerin.

2. Scalp Treatment: Massage a small of avocado oil into your scalp. Let sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing out.

3. Tame Fly-Away Hairs: Rub 1-2 drops of avocado oil into your hands and then smooth frizzy and fly-away hairs with the palms of your hands.

4. To Help Grow and Strengthen Hair: Mix a small amount of avocado oil with honey, olive oil, and egg white. Apply the mixture to your hair and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse out with lukewarm water.
