3 Rules For Snacking

So it’s 4pm – the adult version of snack time – and you may be wondering how to do it the healthy way (especially since it’s Monday). When we chatted with The Today Show health guru, Joy Bauer, she gave us a few great snacking tips that were both brief and informative. There is a healthy way to snack, and here are three ways to do so from Joy herself…

1. Cap it at 200 calories.

2. Ensure it has either protein or fiber – these things will give you more staying power.

3. Choose ingredients that provide perks (i.e., yogurt contains bone-strengthening calcium, and cocoa-dusted almonds provide brain-boosting flavanols, protein, fiber and healthy fats)
