A DIY Pumpkin Face Mask

Yes, you can incorporate a superfood that’s both festive and awesome into your beauty regimen. Joanna Vargas came up with a great DIY pumpkin face mask so that you could make your skin glow this week while also respecting the Halloween theme. Here’s what Vargas has to say about the benefits:

“This mask is a great source of natural antioxidants and retinoic acid, and both improve the look and feel of your skin. This mask can be used on all skin types and is especially great for people looking for a quick anti-aging and brightening boost.” 

DIY Pumpkin Mask Ingredients:

2 teaspoons Pureed Pumpkin (canned is fine)

1/2 teaspoon Organic Honey

1 teaspoon Organic Greek Yogurt

Directions:

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and apply to damp skin. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with a muslin or washcloth.

Use once a week (make a new batch for each use!)

Benefits of the Ingredients:

Pumpkin: High in antioxidants and Vitamins A, C, and E. Natural source of enzymes to slough away dead skin.

Honey: A natural humectant to lock in moisture. It contains antibacterial properties that are ideal for acneic skin.

Yogurt: Contains enzymes and lactic acid to exfoliate, hydrate, and soothe.
