The weather’s getting chillier, and the schedules are getting busier. It’s fall, y’all. A wonderful time of year—changing leaves, sweaters, pumpkin everything…I hope you’re loving it. But I hope you’re loving you, too.

What I mean is, with the flurry of autumn activities, and with—can you believe it?—the holidays arriving soon, we’re heading into the season where it’s easy to lose track of all the mulled wine and treats we’ve indulged in…Not to mention, other healthy habits tend to slip, too. As the days get darker and shorter, you may find you’re hitting the gym less, skimping on sleep or not making time for meditation or whatever fuels your soul.

I’m here to remind you to prioritize self-care, darling. That doesn’t mean skipping out on all the fun—fun is crucial for the soul—it just means making space for practices that will keep you feeling healthy and happy. When you start feeling off-center, it’s best to reel things in a bit and give yourself a little reset. My very favorite way to do that is with an easy 1-day reboot—and I’ve mapped out one for you below using a few recipes from my new book, Crazy Sexy Juice!

Now when I give my system a break, or cleanse in any way, I still eat good food. My style of recalibrating is centered around fresh juices, smoothies and nut milks made with organic fruits, veggies and plant-based superfoods as well as pure, simple, whole-food meals and snacks.

Below, I’ve included a day’s worth of rejuvenating elixirs: a refreshing morning juice, an energy-boosting midday smoothie and a decadent nut milk to enjoy after dinner. Between the bevvies, you’ll add nourishing meals and snacks—as many or as few as you need. I love to incorporate things like lentils, nut pate, hummus, gluten-free grains like quinoa and homemade trail mix with Brazil nuts, walnuts, cashews and goji berries. There’s no need to go hungry!

A few other guidelines for your day of renewal:

Upon rising, have warm water with ginger and a squeeze of lemon. Continue to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Skip stimulating substances like coffee and alcohol (herbal tea or green tea are great).

Lay off gluten and animal products, especially dairy.

Try to fit in some journaling, meditating, exercise you enjoy—whatever will reset your mind and spirit like the cleanse will do for your body.

Okay, gorgeous. Here are the nourishing (and ridiculously delicious) recipes for a revitalizing juice, satisfying smoothie and comforting nut milk. Give these a try—and remember, definitely add in meals and snacks—and let me know how it goes. xo!

Bloat Buster

Belly bloat got you down? Then it’s time for a sip of this refreshing, clean juice. It’s a honeydew lover’s delight, featuring a mixture of fresh melon and a gaggle of greens. The parsley and dandelion greens act as a gentle and natural diuretic, helping you to shed water weight and feel less puffy. Make this your cocktail of choice when PMS calls, when you’ve been too busy to hydrate properly, or when you simply need to feel refreshed.

Makes 2 Servings (16 to 20 Ounces)

6 leaves dandelion greens

1 large cucumber

2 large leaves Swiss chard

1/8 cup parsley, leaves and stems, tightly packed

2 cups honeydew melon cubes

1. Wash and prep all ingredients.

2. Juice all ingredients.

All Day Energy

This smoothie is creamy, filling, and designed to help keep your energy levels stable and strong throughout the day. Matcha is a form of stone-ground green tea leaves. It’s thought to have all of the antioxidant benefits of green tea, but in a more concentrated form. In addition to its energy enhancing qualities, matcha is associated with mood regulation, increased metabolism, and antioxidant power. It makes a wonderful addition to smoothies (especially if you’re trying to kick the coffee habit).

Makes 2 Servings (16 to 20 Ounces)

1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder

1⁄4 ripe avocado

1 banana, frozen

1 1⁄2 cups almond milk or nondairy milk of choice

2 teaspoons maple syrup or 1 pitted Medjool date

1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Wash and prep all ingredients.

2. Blend till smooth and serve. *adjust sweetness as needed

Cashew Chai Milk

“Get your chai on!” as Oprah would say. This recipe is sweet, spicy, and all-around divine. It’s wonderful blended up with fresh banana and greens, and it also pairs well with tropical fruits. For a creamy evening treat, warm a cup over the stovetop, sprinkle with cinnamon, and sip to your heart’s content.

Yields 3 3/4 Cups

1 cup raw cashews, soaked for 2 hours, rinsed, and drained

1⁄2-inch piece ginger, peeled

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1⁄4 teaspoon cardamom

1⁄4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons maple syrup

3 1⁄4 cups water

1. In a high-speed blender, blend all ingredients till creamy and smooth. Store in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge. *adjust sweetness as needed
