So first you were called basic for being obsessed with our guide to the top spots in the city for a pumpkin spice latte. And now you’re being called it because you were all like, “damn, this pumpkin spice latte is the tops, it’s the bees knees, why can’t I make it at home?” Now, while we’re not totally on board with “the bees knees,” (though a little cat’s pajamas never hurt anybody), we do see where you’re coming from. It’s why we created the quintessential Pumpkin Spice Latte for you to make at home. What more could a badass girl want? Ya, we said badass…
Pumpkin Spice Latte
3/4 cup Almond Milk
2 tablespoons Pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
1/4 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice, plus more for sprinkling
1/4 teaspoon pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup hot Espresso or 1/3 cup strong brewed Coffee
Graham Cracker Crumbs, for garnish
Whipped cream, for serving
Combine almond milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract in a blender. Blend for 1 minute to froth almond milk and combine the rest of the ingredients. Pour into the hot espresso or coffee. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs and pumpkin pie spice. Enjoy immediately.
