Pre-Event DIY Face Mask

If you’ve got a schedule like ours this coming week (also known as fashion week), your event plate is full and you’re about to find yourself flung from Nantucket to Networking before you know what happened. We plugged facialist Joanna Vargas for a DIY pre-event facemask sure to get us ready the night of.

This is an amazing treatment before a big event for glowing skin. Great for exfoliating sensitive skin, this mask is calming and will scrub away unevenness.”

Pre-event Mask:

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup milk

2 tbsp. olive oil

Directions:

Scrub into skin for a few minutes using a circular motion to stimulate the lymphatic system, which rids the skin of impurities. Then, leave the mask on for 10 minutes. The lactic acid will assist in resurfacing, while the olive oil will act as an inflammatory. Remove with tepid water.
