Everything about Malatesta is reminiscent of an old-school Italian trattoria, from the high ceiling to the twirling fans, and to the rustic home style pasta and piadina (stuffed griddled bread). The simple interior of the corner restaurant gets crowded and noisy during prime hours, and wait times can be long. In the summer, sidewalk dining allows for more air and space. The restaurant only accepts cash, which shouldn’t be too much of an issue as prices are surprisingly low.
