DIY Barbecue Sauce

We like to the think of barbecue sauce in summer as the glue holding us all together…or at least the glue holding our meat together. Believe it or not, you can make your own, not just go with the store bought kind (though we do always love the bone sucking sauce every now and then). Here’s a great recipe for your weekend…

BBQ Sauce

1 3/4 cups Ketchup

3/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1/4 cup Tomato Paste

1/4 cup Maple Syrup

2 tablespoons Brown Sugar

2 teaspoons Black Pepper

1 teaspoon Onion Powder

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard

1 tablespoon Soy Sauce

1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes.
