Cuisine: Italian. Price: $$$. Location: Manhattan, Meatpacking District.

Enjoying a refreshing, Italian meal inside a glass box underneath the High Line is not something you can do everyday, which makes Santina a stand-out restaurant. It’s memorable interior is paired with equally memorable Mediterranean-themed salads, a variety of mix-and-match small plates, pastas and an abundance of seafood. The cecina is a dish that’s unique to Santina, and is essentially a thin, pizza-like chickpea pancake served with a variety of toppings like avocado, spicy Calabrian tuna, and lamb tartare. At Santina, it’s summer year-round; the transparent structure, light and refreshing fare, colorful plates and beachy cocktails makes you feel as if you’re dining al fresco even during the depths of winter. Make a Reservation.
