New York City is home to plenty Jewish delis and general stores, but few double as a sandwich destination quite like Harry & Ida’s Meat and Supply Co. The small, brick-walled space is designed to look like a butcher counter and is filled with notes of nostalgia. In addition to a handful of packaged goods, the shop also sells freshly prepared hot sandwiches filled with smoked eel, bluefish salads, house made charcuterie, and their famous “Pops’ Pastrami”. Looking for something to take home or give as a gift?  You can’t go wrong with their house made smoked butters, seafood and mushroom conservas, pickles, vinegars, and jerkies.
