You can’t visit London without indulging in some fish n’ chips at this 140-year-old historic chippy restaurant right in the heart of Covent Garden. Large glass windows bring in natural sunlight for those who don’t wish to sit outside on the terrace. On pleasant days, opt for takeaway (which is just as good, and £5 cheaper!) and find a nice grassy spot outside. Choose between tender, fall-apart cod or haddock, both of which are fried in a crispy batter and served with tartar sauce and thick chips, or fries, as we call them. If you’re feeling like a local, get a side of mushy peas.
