At 8 every morning, the air on the corner of 47th street and 9th avenue is heavy with the aroma of freshly baked goods, thanks to Amy’s Bread. With a reputation for excellent classic American breads, cakes, cookies and everything in between, Amy’s Bread now bakes out of three different locations, with the Hell’s Kitchen one being the original. At lunch time, the shops offer small bites such as quiches, pizzas, salads, and pre-made sandwiches. Don’t expect to find much left at the end of the day, because goods sell out fast. PS. We hear their black and white cookies are some of the best in the city.
