How To Shop Smarter In 2015

Rebecca Minkoff is one of those designers you listen to, whether it’s at dinner or in the showroom. So when we asked her to weigh in on the dreaded-yet-popular ‘shop smarter’ New Years resolution that so many of us ladies attempt to hold ourselves to, we listened with bated breath for her input. Here are five tips from Minkoff on how to shop smarter in 2015…

1. Buy less inexpensive and cheap items and invest in quality goods.

2. Redo your closet and make a list of items that you need, that way when you shop you can be focused.

3. Sell or donate anything that you haven’t worn in a year. I like Vestiaire Collective or eBay for this.

4. Focus on building a great staple of accesories. It’s easy to refresh anything black or just plain jeans with a standout shoe or bag.

5. Don’t be afraid to take a risk! That’s what makes shopping fun!
