The TIG Cozy Cocktail

creamy winter cocktail recipes

One of our favorite actresses – Meghan Markle of Suits – happens to be just as much of a fan of warm, cozy winter drinks as we are. Markle gave us a recipe to warm and cheer us up on this post-holiday Monday morning, and to celebrate the fact that today we’re swapping Instagrams with her lifestyle website, The TIG. Don’t forget to check in with @_thetig and @thenewpotato on Instagram, and of course, make this delicious drink…

“This one is perfect for snuggling up by the fireplace or lounging around in your comfies and it could be the very best apres ski drink I can think of. When it gets chilly out, there’s something inherently soothing about a hot drink – the warmth of the cup against your hands, and that perfect sensation of toasty goodness as it settles into your tummy. Oh, yes indeed, this drink is like a hug in a glass. As comforting as it comes, and so ridiculously simple to make.” – Meghan Markle

1 cup of almond milk (heated until it’s nice and hot)

1-2 tsp of agave

2 drops of vanilla extract

1 dash of cinnamon

A healthy glug of your favorite bourbon (or amaretto if you prefer almond flavor)

Cinnamon stick for swizzle and garnish

Take cup of heated milk, add all of your ingredients, give it a good stir, and thank me later 😉

Cheers to happy bellies and warm hearts!

**You can easily make this in a larger portion and have friends help themselves to it on the stove – keep a couple cinnamon sticks in the pot to continue to infuse flavor and make your home smell like holiday heaven**
