Brett Heyman, creator of the handbag and clutch label Edie Parker, is one of those designers you just want to hang with. It could be because she’s a Tripp Lake Camp girl at heart (like us!) but it’s probably because we’re just sort of in love with everything she makes. We got an inside look at a few of the tidbits that make this designer tick, and of course sprinkled a delicious trail of Edie Parker along the way…
My morning routine…
I wake up around 6:30am. I try to do a thirty minute Ballet Beautiful tape before the morning chaos begins. By 7am the kids are up and need to be fed. I put together their breakfast and get them dressed for the day. I make myself a double iced espresso and pour some Black Label from The Juice Press on top. If I’ve remembered to order a green juice from them the night before, I’ll have that too. If not, I pick one up after I drop the kids off at school or camp. I take a quick shower and get dressed while my four-year-old daughter [Edie] usually approves or vetoes my outfit. By 9am the kids are off and I walk to work. Repeat. Every day.
My daily/nightly beauty routine…
I just started to going to an amazing facialist named Georgia Louise. I’m not really a devoted product person but because I believe her to be so talented, I am doing everything she says. I wash my face, I tone, I put on vitamin C, some placenta (gross, I know), moisturizer and a serum. Morning and night.
My favorite neighborhood spots…
The Carlyle, Mezzaluna, Sasabune, and JG Melon
My fashion essentials…
Vintage Levi’s, Rag and Bone T-shirts, Saint Laurent blazers, Gianvito Rossi boots. Repeat.
My kitchen essentials…
Olive Oil, sea salt, feta cheese. If I have those I can make anything work.
