Jonathan Waxman’s Guide To Toronto

This month, the king of all things food – Jonathan Waxman – opened yet another restaurant in another city. Montecito in Toronto, is a multi-level culinary emporium bedecked with a dining room and cocktail lounge that Waxman’s debuted with movie director Ivan Reitman. Naturally, we had Waxman let us in on where we should be eating in Toronto (besides Montecito of course)…

For breakfast…

The Drake

For brunch…

Rose & Sons

For an afternoon snack…

Oyster Boy

For a casual dinner…

Black Hoof

For fine dining…

One Restaurant, Ruby Watchco, and Canoe.

For great mixology…

Bar Isabel

For the up and coming chef spots…

Fat Pasha

For the city’s signature dishes…

Wayne’s Pierogies at Gretzky’s, Pork Carnitas Tacos at Black Hoof (my favorite), and Clover Roads Smoked Duck Breast at Canoe
