Sure, it’s New York Fashion Week, but we all have to eat right? We teamed up with Glamour Magazine to shoot and chat with a few designers on how they’re eating their way through NYFW. There is a new game in town this fashion week – designer Hanako Maeda’s Adeam – a dreamy yet streamlined collection we’ve recently become obsessed with. How do your start your day during NYFW? 

Even during Fashion Week, I try to fit in a quick workout at SoulCycle or Equinox. After my workout I grab a light breakfast, usually yogurt with seasonal fruits. My favorite combination right now is Siggi’s 0% Vanilla and fresh figs. Siggi’s is an Icelandic style yogurt, and the Vanilla flavor is sweetened with agave and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla so it tastes just like dessert.

Your go-to spot for coffee between shows…

Intelligentsia Coffee in the High Line Hotel. It’s a five minute walk from my studio!

Your afternoon snack

Anything with dark chocolate. I’m obsessed with the bonbons from La Maison du Chocolat.

What do you eat during late night fashion week preps?

I usually order salads from Bottino because it’s close by, but sometimes I treat myself to a glass of Pouilly-Fumé and cheese board at The NoMad. Also, I always remember to ask for the flatbread there. It has tons of garlic and herbs, and is absolutely delicious.

What’s always in your NYFW survival bag?

My iPhone, mints and a dark chocolate bar from Mast Brothers.

Your go-to spot for a power lunch between shows…

I’ll head to Bar Masa for a quick sushi fix. They have really fresh seafood that’s sourced from Tsukiji market in Tokyo.

Where do cocktails happen after your show? What will you be drinking?

Probably at Acme or The Lion. My go-to drink is a glass of white from Loire Valley, but it’s hard to resist a good tequila/mezcal drink. The Foxy Brown from Acme is a perfect combination of ginger and smoky tequila.

If you’re at Lincoln Center you’re sure to do dinner at…

Marea for Italian. The Fusilli with Baby Octopus and Bone Marrow is the best pasta dish in the city.

If you’re at Milk you’re sure to do dinner at…

ABC Kitchen. They use the freshest local produce, and the salted caramel sundae is to die for.

If any five people could come to the celebration after your presentation, who would they be? What would you eat and drink?

Diana Vreeland, Madeleine Vionnet, Salvador Dali, Man Ray and Marlene Dietrich.

I’d like to have a classic French tasting menu with lots of wine, and would love for Marlene to sing after the dessert course.
