Popularly described as “Parisian steakhouse meets classic New York City tavern” Minetta Tavern has been around since 1937 and is now in the hands of New York’s culinary genius Keith McNally. With a cozy, romantic aesthetic – it’s the spot to see and be seen. Reservations need to be made months in advance, but the bar (first come first serve/make friends with the bartenders) is a wonderful alternative to table seats. The black label burger is a must try. “The family’s in from out of town and I took them to Minetta Tavern; it was fantastic. The most exciting part of the dinner was that I got to sit next to Rachel Weisz. That was really cool. I enjoyed the evening with her. She had no idea I was there, but it was great. She didn’t know we had dinner together.” – Rocco DiSpirito (Author, Now Eat This!)
“Keith has always been someone so good at creating a world, an atmosphere and an ambiance unparalleled in the restaurant business.” – Adam Rapoport (Editor-in-chief, Bon Appetit)
“Between Balthazar, Pastis and Minetta Tavern, nearly my entire food budget goes to Keith McNally.” – Derek Blasberg (Editor-at-Large, Harper’s Bazaar)
