Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum are top dogs when it comes to nighttime in New York City. Founding EMM Group in 2006, Remm and Birnbaum went straight to the source. With restaurant hot spots like Abe and Arthur’s and Catch, and popular nighttime haunts SL and TenJune, the two definitely have the upper hand when it comes to the coveted real estate of the meatpacking district.
With so many venues, Remm and Birnbaum continue to expand, moving into the hotel industry with The Chandelier Room at the W Hoboken in 2011, along with SL East – a popular nightclub in East Hampton. With their newest opening – of Lexington Brass, an American Brasserie on the ground floor of the iconic Hyatt Hotel – EMM Group has further solidified themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Their recent announcement of expanding Catch to the exploding South Beach night scene, proves that these two are always in touch with the times. As a website that prides ourselves in celebrating “the new,” we couldn’t miss out on sitting down with the Kings of the New, New York.
